Perpetual Trophy’s and Club Awards

On the 8th July GRPC held its AGM and Awards night at Cafe Nova in Gawler

The event was well attended with old and new members along with several of the clubs life members.
It was also lovely to see some of the Perpetual trophy sponsors in attendents, a warm thank you to the Bell/Piggot family (Duel Chisholm) Jennifer Drewett (Joanna Mews Trophy) and Narelle Banks (Iris Stephenson Award)

The Joe Stokes Turnout Trophy
is for the most consistently presented clean mount, tack and rider (14 years and over), and is
judged at every rally over the full year.  A minimum of 6 rallies must be attended to qualify for this trophy.

The Joanna Mews Trophy – presented by Jennifer Drewett, Joanna’s mother
is presented to the rider who tries hard all year to succeed, displays good sportsmanship,
cares for and presents their mount and tack in good order, and supports fellow riders and
the Club at working bees and functions.

The Raphael Spirit of the Club Award
is awarded to a member of the Club, who epitomises the spirit of the Club. One who helps
in any capacity and represents GRPC with enthusiasm and positively, without being asked.

is awarded to a junior riding member of the  Gawler River Pony Club for showing ‘discipline in oneself and pony’  (under 14yrs)

Duell Chisholm Dressage Award  – Sponsored by the Bell/Piggot Family –
To  be presented to a rider who shows an interest in dressage. A rider motivated to improve horse and rider education through Clinics and Training.

Valache Park Trophy
The winner is between ages 10 -16 represents the club outside competitions on a regular basis, displays good manners and sportsmanship towards other riders, instructors, parents, officials at all club rallies and events
when representing the club. Treats their pony with respect and kindness at all times. Either takes care of their
own pony or assists there parents or helper at Rally Days and events

Eventing  Sportsmanship Trophy
For a rider who goes out and represents the club at ODE’s. Shows good Sportsmanship

at an Interstate Competition
Not awarded for the 2017/2018 membership year as not GRPC members competed Interstate

Games Award – Given to riders that have represented the Club at State Championships at games-
